7mm tcu bullets - 11/14/2011 1:18 PM

So, I'm down to the bottom of the box of sierra 130gr SSP bullet, and need to find a replacement bullet. I'm shooting a 10" contender, hunting whitetail at fairly short range (under a hundred yards). am looking for something in the 120 gr range, bal tips, v-max or other varmint bullets? any help appreciated!!

I would go with the Sierra 120 gr. Pro Hunter SPT

I like the 120 Vmax-- may also look at the 120 NBT

A lot of wisdom and experience has already spoken! I like the 120 NBT's as well. I say buy a couple of different brands recommend and load them up. Shoot the ones YOUR barrel likes.

120 gr. V max or the 120 gr. b- tip, both are very accurate with BL-C2 powder in my barrels.

I have been taking Whitetails with the Nosler 120 grn Ballistic tip bullet for a few years now. Works great! I think the V-max has about the same bullet construction.

Word is that Nosler has toughend up the good ol' BT, so I will be trying the V-Max when my old stock runs out.
