Is a count possible??

Hey guys, sitting here thinking about this last hunting season, and the fun I had. I didn't get to do any big game hunting because we moved from Texas to Colorado. However, I got to do some small game stuff.

As I was thinking about the fun I had hunting small game, I also wondered how many critters did we bag THIS SEASON as a group on this forum??

I wonder if we could get a count by simply adding your total to the total in the post ahead of you should you chose to reply -- like a running total if you will.

I will start off with 38 critters total. 27 squirrels, and 11 cottontails with a Browning Buckmark. Also NUMEROUS feral pigeons, starlings, and sparrows with my pellet gun. Didn't count all those though -- they fed my falconry birds.

Plus maybe this will give us an idea on how many different species we tagged also.

I don't know, it was just a thought that I found kind of amusing.

Last season/year?

2 wild hogs
1 cow moose
1 black bear

That puts the count @ 50. I'll be @ 51 with my one deer.

Lets see, 3 squirrels(pellet gun), 1 squirrel (evil crossbow),1 coyote ( 308 encore) 2 rabbits (1 with traditional bow) 2nd with shotgun. A field mouse with 357mag blackhawk. And six turtles with ruger 1022.That brings that count to 65.

I do not hunt much anymore. 1 fallow buck w/338 Fed FA single shot, 1 sika w/260 Rem FA single shot, 7 skunks w/22 mag, 3 coons w/22 mag.

Two whitetails with 12ga slug (Winchester Partition Gold). One of them at 141 yds with only a 1/8" twig for a rest. Actually had my fingers wrapped around the twig with the gun resting on my hand.
Hopefully next season I'll be able to report my first handgun harvest.

Total is now 67

16 grey squirrels, 32 chipmunks, 5 red squirrels, 5 woodchucks, 1 crow, 1 goose, 1 woodduck, 2 rabbits
(63 for me wow!)

Oh I almost forgot. 1 opossum with a my toyota tacoma

7 grey squirrels, 3 rabbits with 22LR contender, 8pt buck with bow, 2 does and a 4pt buck with 460 XVR.

Total 157 with the opossum with Tacoma

Two deer, 2 'dillos, 1 opossum, 5 turtles, 1 ground hog.

Makes 168 total.

i shot 2 fallow does, 2 oryx, 5 hogs. my kids, too much to keep count.

Here goes: 210 groundhogs, 78 deer, 20 squirrels, 1 turkey, Cape bushbuck,caracal,mountain reedbuck,common springbuck, black springbuck,white springbuck,Cape kudu, hippo-100% handguns.
(It was a bad year. Normally should be 100 more groundhogs and 50 deer.) My total:317. Grand total:494.

I'm only 35, but I don't just collect pistols I hunt with them too. I know my deer totals are low, but I've only hunted with pistols since I was 20. wvhitman's stories in the sixgunner inspired me to keep good records and running totals.

Wow. If I'm allowed to count one, I took my first handgun deer last season. Im trying to do some trading and get a single six hunter to go with my super blackhawk hunter in 44, so I can have some small game fun as well. Just gotta find somebody who wants a 1911 more than the single six hunter.

I misunderstood, if we are just talking last season I didn't get out much so I filled my deer tag and shot a couple porky pines

I'm still good, my porky pines were with my Glock 22 and my deer with my own custom Ruger in 454 Casull. So that's 3 for me.
