Whats mild? And what powder are you running?

I have the same mold and run them over 26.5grn of H110 = 1300fps rough, it still thumps you a bit but not as bad as some factory loads.

HS-6, 13.5 grains is max for the 45 Colt with a 300 so that should be a good place to start with the Casull, and go from there.

14gr of unique would be a max load. Should get you around 1200-1250. Start at 12.5 an go from there.

I have a load of H110 or W296 of 26.2 g under a Lee 300 g WFN ,manual shows somewhere in the neighborhood of 1360 f.p.s.should be good for hogs

Just FYI, don't use H110 or W296 for "reduced" loads - it can be dangerous. Always consult a reloading manual for the proper use of powders before loading something you're unfamiliar with. There are powders that are safe for reduced loads, like Unique, for example. Generally any bullet in the 454 that is run around 1200-1300 fps will be pretty mild by comparison.

I agree with Gary. Stay away from H110 unless you plan on using full power loads.

I've made two good reduced loads using A5744 out of my 460 in the neigborhood of 1180 and 1350 fps. My only complaint is A5744 leaves quite a bit of powder residue in the cylinder and barrel.

Garys right about the W296 & H110,... my load of 26.2 gr. I consider mild compared to Mag Techs 260gr.softpoint,I clocked those at around 1860 f.p.s. from S.R.H. 7 1/2 " Winchesters 250 X.T.P. loads were somewhere in the high 1200 f.p.s. range but you would probably want a different type bullet for hogs.

Due to lack of powder availiability around me, I've been experimenting with Longshot. I started with Hodgdon's heavy 45 Colt load of 12.5 gr under a 300 gr XTP. Worked up to around 15 gr, no pressure issues. However, Longshot has a lot of report and muzzle flash. Recoil is mild compared to full power H110 loads
