CVA Scout .243 - 09/01/2015 9:58 PM

I got this last week and a couple hundred rounds of ammo. Got it mostly for coyotes but my grandson thinks he may want to deer hunt with it this year, will take it out this weekend and get it sited in. Seems to be a pretty stout well built single shot.

I am very interested in your results. I've yet to see a full report on this offered chambering.

Hey, Longhunter, if you need some Hornady bullets to handload for it, I've got some if you're interested. Just PM me.

What twist is it? Thanks

I've heard the .243 barrel has a 1-10" twist.

I'd prefer a faster twist for the 105gr A-Max bullets I use......but.......I can make due with 85gr Sierra HPBT-GameKings.

That's why I was wondering. I shoot the 105's in my rifle too.
My 8 year old daughter shoots a reduced load with the 85gr gamekings and they work great on deer.
