My Hog Gun is ready ... - 10/11/2016 1:45 AM

Spent this afternoon finalizing the zero on what I plan to chase hogs with this fall.

It's my Glock 20 with the newest offering from SeeAll. The rail mounting system, Tritium, and 3-Post reticle are all improvements to the original design. My 175 Grain hardcast loads are flying true ... I'm ready!!

That's pretty cool. What velocity are you getting and with what powder?

Nothing exotic ... max load of 7 grains of Unique over Powder Coated LSWC from Bayou Bullets. They are running 1200fps for 560ft/lbs. I think it's enough for the size hogs we have at the ranges I'll be shooting.

I like it - I keep toying with the idea of putting a red dot on mine, or getting a MOS G40

Hahaha!! When I got the gun and began looking for a mount, Carver was considered the best ... I reluctantly payed the price, but the quality is there.

I do like my "Ray Gun", as a friend calls it ... balances well and feels nice in the hand. The components work together.

This G20 has always been a pleasure to shoot. This current load running 1200fps with a 18lbs recoil spring just smoothly drops cases in a nice little pile a few feet away. Out-of-Box Hornady sends brass 2 40's over and even though I haven't chrono'd it, I dont think it's performing better. Some Berry's Plated 180HP are on the test list next.
