OTT 250 Sav. airln - 09/10/2006 12:53 AM

I had the barrel made primarily for antelope with 100 gr NBT's.
But I sold my normal deer barrel (30-40 AI), so i needed to find a deer load for it.

here's a 100 gr fireforming load

110 gr Accubond loads, I think I'll stay with the lower left

airln= ackley imp rimmed long neck

when i had my 15" 257 roberts i used imr-3031 and sierra 90 gr. hpbt gamekings.this bullet/powder combo accounted for deer and turkey(deer 240 yds.,turkey 190 yds.both lazer rangefinder verified)mine would never shoot heavy bullets very accurate.nothing like a good ol'.257 caliber!oh yeah...nice looking rig...jim257

Fine looking rig there!! I like the flutes. Seems to shoot good too!! 25 is one of the calibers I need to get in the encore. I have dies and brass for a 257 Roberts, but I think the 250 Savage would be better from a 15" barrel.
