First Handgun Hunt nets bone!

No, I didn't take a shot, but I found this nice shed! Just walked across the road to about a 2 acre depression of woods in a soybean field. Dang I guess I better put a stand up there next season! Talk about a low hassle hunt

Nice find! I've never been lucky enough to stumble on a shed despite spending some time specifically looking for them.

NICE!! Yeah that would be a great place to do some early scouting next year. Then get a stand or two in position, so the owner of that shed can be harvested.

Funny story: I work near the Mescalero Indian Reservation in S. NM. One day, while driving down the road, I passed 2 kids carrying elk sheds. The kids always find them. In this case, each kid was carrying half of the matching pair. They could barely walk. The kids must have been 5-7 yrs old and each half was easily taller than the kid carrying it. I was laughing watching them struggling up the road. They were smiling the whole time trying to get that pair home. Wish I had a photo of it. By the way, I did count, full 6x6.
