If I had the opportunity to order a custom barrel for my TC, who should I use? The only companies I knew of were Virgin Valley and Bullberry and neither of them are in business. The only one I know of currently is MGM.

OTT n MGM are my top picks. MGM is the same fellers that operated virgin valley.
OTT does some wicked cool work n is simply astounding in my book. i have a shark gill brake, 2 unbeatable barrels(6tcu n 6x47), and a 3rd coming from mr mike sirouis(17m2).
i also have 2 new barrels coming from MGM's july/august barrel sale. a 357max and a 6x45

bullberry is still in business, by the way ;\)

SSK. I have 4 barrels from SSK for my contenders and they all shoot 1/2" groups or better from the bench when I do my part. I would hightly recommend giving them a call.

I don't have a barrel from any of them, but just to throw another name in the hat give "Coyote Guns" (or is it Coyote barrels a look. They have a website.

Thanks for the help. I will check them all out. My best bet is to bide my time and weight to see what they have on sale as previously suggested.

Gary Reeder does quite a bit of TC stuff and offers alot of proprietary cartridges as well as the well known wild cats and standard chamberings. I have owned a couple of SSK Barrels and was very happy with them, I had a 45-70 and a 309JDJ.
