Magazine Fall 06' (NOT)

Well guys I hate to bring this back up but it sure isn't looking good. Up until a month and a half ago, Gary was posting about every other day or so. All of a sudden he's gone. I have called the number listed and left messages and I have also sent emails with no responses from either. A couple guys on here say that he is a stand up guy and while he may be, he at least owes it to the people who sent him money many as long ago as a year or so, to give some sort of explanation. With out some sort of idea of whats going on it appears he is not as stand up as some guys think. If he wants to make things right he needs to step up. Either tell us that the magazine is not going to happen or that there is a problem and he is fixing it. It sure appears to me that all of us who have sent money have been taken. Luckily it was only $13. Its guys like this that put a bad taste in peoples mouths. Not only were we taken but it was done by a fellow handgunner. Hopefully some of the new handgunners won't take it that handgunners conduct business like this. I would really like to know how much money was paid in. I know that Gary told us that there was a delay but that was a year ago. At least maybe some people who are thinking about ordering the mag will see this and not send any more money until something has been found out. I know Gary maybe busy but I am not dumb enough to believe that he doesn't have 2 minutes to post the status of the mag.

I will give Gary the time he needs to work out the problems he is having with the magazine. I know it was a lot harder to get it published than he expected. Until I defiantly know it is not going to happen I can wait patently.

Same here, I know he put a lot of time into updating the site recently.

I'll still put my money on Gary. He's putting this magazine together on the side and I can't begin to imagine the time that must be involved. As far as I know it's a one man show. I too would like an update but I can wait quietly. :)I have read to first two issues so much I almost have them committed to memory. BG

I have no intention of arguing with anyone & feel no need to defend Gary, but I think BG has shared my sentiments well.

i havn't paid yet....but if i had, i wouldn't be worried. it ain't "gloom n doom" till it actually happens.

gary n danb both have been absent for 1-2 months. kinnda weird, but who knows....maybe they are filming/writing/photgraphing in africa er sumthin.....lol.

Surely someone on here knows and lives by Gary and could just stop by to check on him.

guys give him some time it's less than 15 bucks! think about it you most likely waste that a day I know I do.

I paid for the '06 issue when I first could. It does not bother me in the least if I ever see it. I sure hope it comes out as it's an awesome magazine with great pictures in the sport I love. But if it doesn't that's OK too. I have been on this site for 6 or 7 years now and have never been ask for one thin dime to be here. It takes alot to keep something like this going so I will consider my money as payment for such a great site.

Absolutely right. I'd like to hear from Gary, but more to check that he's OK and that nothings happened to him.

i haven't paid for mine yet, but will when/if it's available. the other issues ran behind and is one reason (honestly) i didn't pre-order this one. that said, i have every confidence in gary. and although i don't know him personally, i'll vouch for him in a heartbeat. from what i know of him and the hard work he's put into this site and the past mags, he's a stand up guy all the way. if the mag is comin', you'll know it (and the last time i heard, it was comin'). if not, he'll tell ya. i know it may be hard to do, but let's stop beatin this horse.....it's already dead.

I understand the concerns everyone has. However it is not going to make the magazine get here any quicker. I would like to indulge in it as much as the next. I have just accepted the fact that it will get here when it gets here.

I paid for all three back in '06, I called him today and sent an email so far to no avail, I sure would like to see the mag, but I suppose I am not alone!!

I noticed my friend Larry Weishuhn is on the masthead; I'll check with him and see what he knows. I'm sure there is a logical reason no one has been able to reach him.

I can wait, Ill be tied over with my new subscription to; Boar Hunter Magazine.

I dropped Larry an e-mail, I'll post back here when I hear from him. He spends massive amounts of time in the field, so it may take a few days/weeks. It looks like you guys have waited much longer than that already.

Well I see I'm not alone in wondering when I'll get my magazine.I must say the previous were some of the best I ever seen.Great paper which made for some great pictures.
I did the free credit report awhile back and paid Trans Union for a credit score.Well no score said not enough info available but no return of my money and when I called I got someone in India are somewhere couldn't speak are understand english for crap.Anyway they say they have no record of me paying.So I guess what I'm saying here if a big company like that will rip you off I'd sure rather my money be going to Gary,at least maybe he'll use it to hunt with.No I'll be waiting I'm sure he'll come thru.
