I'M BACK!!!!

First of all I want to express my deep appreciation for all the prayers and comments sent my way. I needed every one of them. The heart surgery went well but I came down with one of those hospital bugs that can hardly be cured since they are so resistant to treatment. I was very, very ill for a couple of weeks but finally started getting better. I am back in Pensacola again and fortunately my house suffered minimal damage from hurricane Ivan. I am weaker than a sick kitten but am getting a little stronger every day. Don't know if I will be able to do any hunting this year. Thanks again for the prayers and good wishes. You guys are the BEST!!!

Great to see you back Gman and it's good to hear you on the mend. Also good to hear your house came through the storms.

You Da Man, GMan. So good to have ya back. Hang in there Bud. We will try to keep some hunting stories coming to ease your hunting withdrawal. I have had a nagging backache that has kept me home but because you are back in the saddle, I will go sit in a tree in your honor, today.

Glad you are back. Missed reading your posts. You can always hunt next year. The main thing is to get well and mend. Hope you heal quickly and get back into the thick of things here. This will be a good chance to reload every piece of brass you have when you feel better.

It was 80 degrees or better here today. I wanted to get back for the noon Clemson NC state game and i left home about 0930. I walked in real slow and checked the food plot and it had clover thick as dog hair and was about a foot tall. I saw no tracks on the way in and things were not looking like the deer were going to show up so I walked a little ways in to check a couple trails. Started to go to the bottom and check the oaks but turned around because of the heat. Backtracked to the truck and wouldn't you know it. Fresh tracks where I had walked in. I had convinced myself they had moved out to eat acorns somewhere else and sitting in my stand was a waste of time. Out thunk myself again. I came home and watched the game.

GMan it's great to have you back and just as good to hear about your house. I remember back about 25 years ago or so, when my father-in-law had bypass surgery. It was a tough recovery, but when it was over he looked and felt 10 years younger.

Welcome back Gman. Glad everything is getting better and your plantation survived the weather. Don't say you won't hunt this year. Things will start coming along quicker now that you're home. Whatever you do, just be careful, don't overdo it.

Glad to hear you are on the mend. We were all pulling for you through Ivan and your surgery. I'm sure you're glad to be home - we're glad to have you back too.
