Pentax scopes - 05/25/2012 12:38 AM

Anyone shoot the pentax scopes , like to try one . The gameseeker 30mm in 6x24x50 or the 4x16x50 . Sportsman guide has them for around $180.00. Are they a pretty good scope for that price . Like to put one on my encore 7/08 pistol.

I have a an old pair of their DCF binos 8x42 and I have beaten the tar out of them and they have never failed me in 11 years. Don't know about the scopes.

I have a NIB 4-16 X 50 30MM if you could use it--

No BS low down

I find it just a bit below the Millet 4-16 X 56 30MM-- better than a Muller or BSA

And it will not touch a Nikon 6-18 or a Nitrex 6-20 with a 1" tube.

I is not in the Leupold zipcode

The scope is not clear all the way to the edge.

If you were using it on a 22 or such I would say yes other wise stay away.

If you want one bad I will take $125 for my 4-16 shipped and you can give her a try

Thats a Pentax 1 1/2x4 power handgun scope mounted on my FA`s 475
Its an old scope and ran out of adjustment when sighting in the 400gr XTP bullets and I had to use 6 inches of Kentucky windage when shooting that load through the FA`s. However, it`s of good quality and a shame that its not being made anymore.....

The wind was coming in from behind me in that picture and it surely was a cold day....

I did that once too, I took my aisian buff and monster hog the first week of Jan, and it was 10deg but with wind chill it was below zero. The first time I ever had my mustache freeze solid from my breath when hunting.
