Belt Mountain????? - 06/27/2012 7:54 PM

Anyone heard if Belt Mountain is having problems? I know they sold the Punch Bullet line to Rintoul but today I called to see if they were making pins for the new small frame Blackhawks. I got a message saying they couldn't take calls so I emailed but the last time I did that a couple months ago I never heard back. I also noticed that Brownells has discontinued almost the entire line of Belt Mtn pins and there are generally only three reasons they would do that, lack of interest, quality or problems with supply. I have no idea which one it is but they are only showing a couple pins still being available so if any of you have heard anything or know whether or not they are making the shorter pins let me know.

well this time I did get an email back but I'm still find it a little disconcerting that Brownells has discontinued carrying the majority of their pins but maybe there is another reason.

I know an insider at Brownells, I'll ask him if they know.

Has no clue.

I have one of their base pins from when I had a Blackhawk, was thinking of selling it but I might hold onto it for when I get another one.

well they have been on top of things with this series of emails so I don't know what the deal is but the two most popular pins are the knurled and #5 oversized pins and one of the pins discontinued by Brownells is the #5.

I was going to put one in the 357 mag blackhawk I have. Rod can you still get them from belt Mtn?

yep and I can get them from Midway if they are in stock. Brownells was my favorite though because my cost was a little better and they always carried more variations in stock.
