Very nice.

Is that Production or has it had custom work done to it?

Looks Production though.

Special early edition for you, Max, or are they officially "on the market"?

My LGS is getting a 6.5" version in tomorrow. But, I'm trying to hold out for the 4.6" flavor.

Must..........be..........strong!

Nice!
I have never pulled the trigger with anything in a 480 before. I guess I need to widen my horizons.

Damn.

Ok, I need an opinion.

Should I get the 6.5" or 4.6" gun in this cartridge?

I already have the 6.5" in .454 Casull. But then, I already have a 4.6" in .44 Mag and a 5.5" in .45 Colt. So, "need" has nothing to do with it.

Either barrel length will be used for a hunting gun.

Which one do you suggest?

not that it helps, but a gun in the hand is worth two in the lgs

Which is a real consideration as to why I'm tempted to jump on the 6.5" when it comes in today or tomorrow.

Who knows if or when my LGS will ever get a 4.6" barrel.

:panic:

You know, I like 'em both. I just shot this one and while I have a long way to go to get familiar with it, it shot pretty well. This group was shot off the bench at 20 yards with Speer 325 grain Gold Dots.

I like both barrel lengths to be honest.

Think I'll jump on the 6.5" barrel.

Maybe if and when a 4.6" shows up............I'll be able to afford it as well.

Why pass on a good gun, no?

Not a secret! Lipsey's announced it quite some time back, I inquired, and a week later I have gun in hand.

Re: Newly Minted and Newly Arrived - 06/06/2017 6:30 PM

Well, I bit on the 6.5" barrel.

She is in "purgatory" now until I get her out.

I'm happy.

They said they still have the short barreled one on back order as well. And will advise me when it arrives.

Ouch! That's gonna hurt.
