Bullet Moulds - 12/14/2009 8:47 AM

Hello I have been looking on the net for custom bullet mould makers and there are a few different ones out there. Does anyone have any suggestions on who to use? Looking for moulds for my 460 S&W mag in an encore. The heaviest commercial mould is 320grs. looking for something a little heavier also. I also want a mould that casts .454 as my encore seems to like them sized .454 better than .452. Any information greatly appreciated.

There are quite a few custom mold makers out there that make some awesome molds. My personal favorites are LBT and Mountain Molds.

Both of those mentioned are great, also there is Ballasticast Moulds, this is the old Hensley & Gibbs line, I have 3 of them & they just might be the best of all......maybe.

Here are a couple more that are top notch as the ones mentioned above
http://www.mp-molds.com/ This guy makes great two cavity hollow point Cramer type molds and some come with 5 sided pines which are reversible to make flat points or turn one around and make one hollow and one flat point.
I have a couple and they are great with a couple more on order.

Another is NEI http://www.neihandtools.com/ I have many and they all work well Aluminum and Iron.

And another is CBE http://www.users.bigpond.com/JIM.CBE.htm
or http://www.castbulletengineering.bigpondhosting.com/
I have a couple big ones from him a 975 Grain FPGC .512 and they are also good molds.

Here is another one http://www.magmaengr.com/ magma ENG.
Very good iron molds ,they cast like a dream ...

And still there is more this guy at Night Owl Enterprises makes great custom molds .
I just got a 4 cavity 850 Grain FNGC .512 and casts great.
I also have another .512 coming 500 Grain 4 cavity with one cavity a hollow point , drooling for that one .
He can be contacted at his email address here Pbsco1@qwestoffice.net
Here is a picture of one of NOE molds

There is a guy selling a 370 gr .454 semi-wadcutter mould on "Cast Boolits" at this moment. There may be a deal pending on it, but it wouldn't hurt to look at it.

My wrists hurt just looking at it.

I neglected to mention that LBT has a clearance sale going on. You may be able to find exactly what you need on their sale list, which is accessable from their "home" page. The best way to reach LBT is by e-mail. Trust me...
