Ruger Super Blackhawk 44 mag front sight

I have a super blackhawk and would like to have a different front sight. I read about front sights that have gold inlay bars for different yardage but cant seem to find any online. Is this something ppl just do themselves?

I think you could DIY if you had the tools and gold inlay. You might want to practice on something first. I know Elmer Keith had a sight like that but it was for long range, not nesseceraly short range like 50 or 75 yards. Mellonhead had his FA sight done by David Clements. He has a picture posted of it over on SP. Look in the revolver section under the post "Gold Bars in front sight". He also comments about the bars distance.

You could call the Linebaugh's Dustin or John they could do it for you.
