You can buy a cylinder and drop it in. You will need to mic the length of your cylinder and look for one of similar length. There is that old model new model thing. I've added cylinders to two different Ruger SA's, both ways, and ne'er a problem.
You used to be able to get them on e-bites but they banned gun stuff. Try GunBroker gun parts or WTB's in variuos classifieds. The Rugerforem and RImfire Central are two good places to ask.
Rod, too.
Short cuts often lead to long recoveries.

I hardly ever even used my mag cylinders, the ammo is alot more and usually less accurate since a 22LR is a true 22 cal and the 22 mag is .224 like the centerfire 22's.

So it,s a better deal than a roughrider heritige. last 22mag i had liked to burn your fingers if they got to close to the front of the cylinder. Was an abused Smith all rusty and loose. Will have to see if gun's still for sale and look it over.Sold my Mark III to son in-law and wifes Buckmark just don't quite cut it.Must be why they call'em Campers. Thanks for info.

the single six is in a whole different universe than the heritage. I have one and it's the biggest piece of crap in my collection. I've replace the firing pin and spring, it had to go back to the factory for a new cylinder because the 22lr one was drilled off center so it spit lead everywhere and I had to tweak and file off half the sight. I also removed the lame safety, the only reason I haven't thrown it in the garbage is it's good to teach my kids on and now that I've basicly re built it it actually shoots straight but it's still a piece of crap. The single six is a million times more gun than the Heritage. If you can't tell I don't think much of Heritage.
