I finally did it, bought a 454C, that is. My first. It's a FA M83 7.5" and will be here later this week.

Celebrated 50 years loading and shooting 44M in June of this year, but never have gone bigger. Have wanted a 454 for a long time and even bought a set of used dies a few years back. Finally got to thinking, that I'm not getting any younger, maybe it's time.

So wish me luck and I'll post photos at soon as it gets here. Not my first FA BTW.

A good shooting glove will help . The .454 seems to try to tear the web between my thumb and trigger finger out,so a glove lets it move a little in that area.To me the recoil is fast and sharp,more so than my 12 in. 45-70. Since you reload you can load it from mild to wild and find a happy medium. Good Luck!!!!!!!!!
