I am waiting on a box of 310 grain wfngc Oregon bullets for my super redhawk to test. Does anyone have any favorite load data for this bullet. I am going to start with Lil Gun and H110. I will plink with Lil Gun and hunt with H110 since the H110 data is a little faster. I can't wait to do some test with wet paper. Then maybe on that large boar hog that is so photogenic on my deer cameras. He really likes to dig in our food plots and knock over corn feeders. I have plenty of 240 grain XTP's but the just don't look near as effective as that WFN.

I normally run my 300 WFNGC bullets over 22.5gr of H110. My 325 WLNGCs get 21.2gr.

For your 310s I would say that right around 22.0gr would be pretty close to a top end load. Probably running about 1250ish. It will definitely get your attention but if you connect with that piggie, he isn't going anywhere.

I've been using 18.2 gr. of H110 or W296 with the Lee 310 cast and it was doing something in the 1100-1150 range,...very accurate load,I didn't see any reason to run it faster because its not a hollowpoint which needs the speed for proper expansion .

While you certainly don't need to run a 300gr bullet full tilt to kill, I find that when running with H110 the closer I am to the max charge, the more accurate the load tends to be, also the lower the SD tends to be.

If you are looking to run less than full tilt, a powder like Unique or 2400 is a better choice.

I agree with Redline. I've found that loads using H110 produce more consistent velocities if you load your rounds closer to the maximum.

I believe since he referenced a 240 gr bullet, it is a 44

I am shooting a 44 magnum super redhawk. I shot it yesterday with various charges working my way up to 22 grains of H110. I had no problem with extraction of cases. SO it will be 22 grains of H110 under 310wfngc this hunting season.

Gotcha, I just wanted to make sure that point was clear to all since the SRH has been chambered in a few different calibers.

Those 310s are exciting to touch off with a case full of H110, aren't they?

Out of a SRH I would also recommend a bullet sized .432. Ruger throats run a bit on the large size as compared to other 44s out there. Every one of my Ruger 44s shoots better with the larger sized bullets.

After shooting only 240 grain bullets the 310 is definitely noticeable. I feel comfortable on this site admitting I like the feel of that recoil when I pull the trigger. Outside of this site somebody would think I was crazy. I really like the nice round holes the wfn makes and the little round circles of paper and cardboard behind the target. Cannot wait to punch holes in something other than paper.
