These were my first ever shots at 100 yards with my 6 1/2 inch barrel Raging Judge Magnum, The gun that everyone says its only good for in home self defense and plinkin at 20 yards max, or its just a novelty gun.
Granted this is like a 5 inch spread and not 2 inches but im happy with it for being my first shots

Passes the paper plate test. How does it pattern #6 shot @ 20 yards?
Rod, too.
Short cuts often lead to long recoveries.

Load data: 45 long colt 23.5grains IMR 4227
hot load. But since my gun weights 90➕oz recoil is minimal

It is a good all purpose shot size.
Rod, too.

Thanks RM..l have thought about maybe shooting 45 Colt in my 460 but have hesitated because of cylinder ring from shooting shorter cases and the long bullet jump to the rifling may hurt accuracy...
l will never know til l try...

On the bullet jump thing, I just tested 45 Colts in a new to me Browning 1885 Single shot rifle in 454 Casull. I found, like I always do, is that Hornady XTP's will do a single ragged hole. I was only testing at 25 yards as it was just mainly a chrony/load session. but the XTP's were stunningly accurate making the jump, and they were the most accurate load tested in my 7.5" Colt New Frontier in 45 Colt with .457-.458 throats.
I tend to shoot mostly lead bullets in most of my guns, but when I want to see how some particular combination of gun/loads/parameters will work for accuracy, it has usually been XTP's that will tell me.

That's a really good group, especially considering the distance that bullet has to jump to get to the rifling.
