I'm looking at the Buffalo Bore 255 grain loads for .45 ACP. Any experience? What weight recoil spring is recommended? Shooting a Auto Ordinance 1911.

BB suggests 4 - 6 pounds heavier than the factory spring if you are going to shoot them a lot.

Rod, too.

Short cuts often lead to long recoveries.

I saw that but how heavy is "factory"? I've changed the spring but don't remember what's in there. So, does anyone know what weight recoil spring is recommended?

I'd think a 22#er would suffice.
