I see a 250 Savage barrel posted in the classified ads which raises a question. A while back I contacted a custom barrel maker and was told that the 250 Savage created too much pressure for the Contender frame. I am not a reloader so could someone tell me if this caliber is safe for the Contender or is this one you must cut back on by loading down? BG

FWIW, it's not listed as a chambering for the Contender by Fox Ridge the TC custom shop, which includes a number of wildcats in addition to standard cartridges. But their customer service no is listed. (search under Fox Ridge)
