Very Nice Buck!
We need more details. Is that an Optima, Encore or Contender? What Bullet, Sabot, Powder, etc were you using? Lets hear about the hunt. Enquiring Minds want to know. (:

My fellow North Carolinian, forum member, and good friend, Andy Beck, aka Wiseguy, used his CVA Optima V2 to take this great buck.....1 shot at 118 yards with a Shockwave....he achieved complete penetration and the projectile obviously did it's intended job flawlessly.

Thanks again Franchise for posting this for me. I really appreciate it. This is a particular buck that I have been after for several years. It was the first time I have actually laid eyes on him. The camera showed he was in there at 7:30am last Sunday but I was laid up in the bed. The Spypoint showed he came through at 3:00am this morning but did not come back like he normally does. Finally at a few minutes before 7:30am he stepped into the corn....for his last meal. After the shot he ran about 60yds and piled up. The shockwave gave complete penetration and broke the off side shoulder. I feel very blessed to be able to take a buck like this. Thanks again everyone!!!

Outstanding! That is a monster of a deer. Great shooting with the muzzleloader. You are truly blessed to have deer like that around you and on places you can hunt. Good luck the remainder of the season.

Very nice buck, congrats. I bought a CVA muzzle loader only to find out I can't use it here in IL. On consignment now at my LGS.
