Picked up one of the short model S&W 69s. Been looking at them for while but never liked the 4" model. Added a Pachmeyer Renegade Grip in smooth dark laminate wood that made it look a bit less sterile. Have only tried the 240 XTPs in it to date but it shoots nice. Wanted a Galco Silhouette High ride for it like I have for my 625 but they were $90+ and most everyone was out of stock. I found a near new one at a thrift store in Scottsdale AZ on line picked it up shipped for $30 can't beat that [censored].

Plan to try some 180's in it shortly. Last time I did 180s in a 44 Mag and shot pigs it did not end well. But I figured for this gun I would give them one more shot.

Will keep you in the loop on how she does.

If it jams force it! If it breaks it needed replacing anyway.

Nice choice!

I picked one up a few months ago to replace my 629 in the same barrel length. I didn't figure to miss the extra shot and liked the way it felt in the hand. Will definitely be carried more than shot.

Looking forward to your report on the 180s.

John
