I lapped my rings, but not how you may think.
DanB lapped them really, I just removed some blueing here and there on the outside to give them a 2 tone look.
Since I will have a S.S. Bbl via Gun Garage,a blued frame, and Grey/Black GA Jims, I felt it was just another way to improve the look.
If you look closely you can see the ends of the base and the lateral line done on the base as well.
Here is a factory grip I tappered down to fit my hand better. I was barely getting a finger tip on the trigger bare hand. I now can get to the 1st crease. Important for when I am wearing gloves during December ML season.
I left the old finish so you could see where I removed wood.
