I have a friend who wants to sell me his Laser Aim 50mm Grand Illusion red dot.
But he does not know for how much.
I have no idea how much this scope would cost and I want it to be fair for both of us.
He needs the money badly but I am not wanting to over spend on something used at the same time.

Does anyone know how much one would go for used and in decent condition?

i did some searching on internet. i wasn't able to find a match. i found some close. they were old posts on gunbroker. some back to 8/05. when you pull them up they said page nolonger there. anyway the breif description on google ranged between $79 and $99. not sure if this is the same thing. are you sure of the name? Laser Aim 50mm Grand Illusion??

I too saw this info and it did give me an idea of what to offer my friend. I had found it mentions in a few very old posts on other board as well.
I wonder now if it will hold up to the recoil of a 50 cal ML pistol.. (???)

not sure if it will hold up. i've only used them on my 22 target pistol and air pistol. from the little i saw i got the idea that came as part of a ar15 setup. did your friend buy it as a kit? already on a gun?

Not sure if it were a kit or otherwise. i just remember him saying it was on an AR15 at one time.

I have decided against it.
I am just not comfortable with not being able to get any good solid info on it.
I have an el-cheapo BSA red dot on my 12 gauge turkey gun and it seems to hold up well.
I just do not want to take the risk on a deer gun.
