Ok finally got it together and pics taken.
Heres what I did to the poor thing. LOL

-Bullberry Varmit tapper 7mm08 bbl with break and hanger bar that has been Gun Garaged in his Dura-Coat Stainless Steel. (was blued)
-Ga Jim Grey/Black JimBo T/R grip (with Slim Jim tapper)and 8" hanger bar Hunter-like forend with bull bbl channel for over-emphized floating look finshed in MinWax Helmsman Spar Urathane.
-DIY trigger job, Bellm #5 sear spring installed (1.2# pull) and stoning.
-Weaver black matte base with sanded flats and ends for 2 tone look.
-3 Leupold vertical split rings, black matte with all flats sanded to aluminium for 2 tone look, insides lapped.
-Bushnell Elite 3200 2-6x32 with FireFly retical.

Phew I think that covers it. LOL

Before:

After:

Fully lapped rings, inside and out:

Thanks,
Shawn

Varget worked well...best for accuracy. H4895 did good also. H414 did the best for velocity. I won't give the charges...I'm using reformed Lake City .308 brass so commercial 7-08 brass will yield max loads that may be a few grains different.

LOL I did not know what else to call it, but to tell the truth, when I was sanding them down to remove the finish on the flat sides. They were not so flat or even with each other.
It was a lot bigger job then I thought it would be at 1st...
So now the side edges are totally even and "lapped".. LOL

Thanks,
Shawn

Shawn the setup turned out real nice. I guess the barrel does have a few miles on it. I think you got a winner there. Congrats.

I saw a gun like this once in a 'girly' magazine!! Just kidding. as I understand, it is a fine looking paper weight! If that thing shoots half as good as it looks, it will easily hold 5 or 6 MOA!

Well I though this past weekend was bench time but the rain decided differently.
Now I have 4 nights of 12s to get threw before I can go at it again.
I hope to let her bark on Thursday or Friday.
I will post pics of my groups if I have any worth posting. LOL
It will be my 1st time shooting an Encore pistol....

Thanks,
Shawn
