Worked outside all day in the heat. Nothing like getting cleaned up and sitting down to dinner - elk tenderloin on the grill, cool salad. No problems here. Now the delimma. Would you opt for a nice dry red wine, say a Merlot or a cold Margarita (no salt of course - bad for your heart)? Only four months to elk season.

I prefer the stuff with the black label that says "old no.7".

I don't drink, so I'm thinking a nice glass of spring water would be best. And not that bottled "spring" water either. Right from the farm's spring, ya know the one with balck and yellow spotted salamanders in the bottom.

I'm sorry, I don't see the dilemma. Red wine always goes with meat, but so does white, margarita, and mai-tai's. What no good, heavy hearted beer to go with a steak? Pure, ice cold water and a wedge of lemon or lime is also very thirst quenching.

what is wrong with you eastern boys, a couple shots of good tennesee or kentucky whiskey and a lip full of copenhagen, thats what the good life is all about cigars and wine, i'll be praying for you guys in church on sunday. (no i'm not a lush, the good Lord made Kentucky and Tennessee and from there comes the finest whiskey in the world and there aint nothin wrong with a touch now and then. of course if any of you start talking about canadian whiskey we may have to strap some iron on and hit the streets LOL
