I was at Cabela's today and found these on sale plus you get an extra $5 back, very reasonable by todays standards. Has anyone tried these out of a 15" Encore? Were they any good? If they have worked well for others, I might buy more since they are reasonable. My gun is on order so I cannot try them out myself for awhile.

I have not used it. What I can say is I was told Federal shot the best, consistently, in the TC’s. One of the Tech’s said that they shot all the factory ammo available and they were very impressed with Federal and they even recommended it to me if I didn’t handload.

Just ran some through a Remington Model 7 7mm-08. It had a 18" barrel...so not much longer than the Encore. The ammo shot well at 100yds...around 1.5-2". Could have done better I believe...the scope on the gun is suspected of having parallex problems which would open the groups up somewhat. But still...1.5" is not too bad...especially if the price is right and it will get you good brass to start reloading.
