Yep, once you get out of the city and all the little cities that run into each other, your out in the country. You have all the area around Mt. Hood and all the area in the Tillimook forest. You have Elk,Bear,Cougar, and Blacktail deer. Then on the other side of the Cascades you have Mule deer and then go south a little ways and you have Prong horns. We even have a tiny herd of White tail down around Roseburg.(Protected) Oregon is a good state really. Income tax sucks but we don't have sales tax yet. I think you will like it once you get out of Portland although for a big city it's nice. Have we got you sold on it yet?

No kidding about being in shape, that is some steep hunting and thick rain forest. Myself I like the High Cascades, more open but still steep but not like the coast range. Everytime I hunt the coast I'm all most sorry. But the deer taste great, better then the Cascade blk Tails.

Yes they do. I haven't hunted them in years. You can find them upon top of the Cascades. The mate with the Blk.Tails and we get those benchlegs. The look like a Blk. Tail but they are the size of a mule deer. If you get a big one you get to score it as a Blk. Tail if you get it on the West side of the PCT.
