Hey guys its been forever since I stopped by but wanted to show a neat crossdraw holster I had made for the encore.

A local guy about 20 min from the house made it for me. He makes all kind of holsters but this was something I had never saw before.

Sweet looking holter! Is there spring steel in the top to hold the gun and to keep the leathers shape? Or is it extra thick leather to hold the shape?

No steel just supported by two layers of 9oz leather. It stays open and is easy to reholster.

Cool thanks, I was thinking about making my own, but I wasn't sure how the holster would stay open and not get deformed. Thanks for the info.

He also builds cowboy and hunting rigs as well. Here is my Model 29 holster on a gun belt I use for hunting hogs.
