Just tried some of Noslers 60 grain partitions (.224). Good stuff! They really penetrate and shoot extremely good groups. Have any of you guys tried these on live game? I did some tests and these things really seem to be solid, weight retention far exceeded my expectations. But have not tested on game yet.

I haven't shot any animals with them out of handguns but with rifles it's a different story. I load all my rifles I've hunted with or plan to hunt with, with nosler bullets. I use partitions in my wifes 270 and she has killed 4 blacktails and a mulie with those and before that I was loading ballistic tips but her 270 and my 7mm Rem both dropped the deer in their tracks but did an excessive amount of damage to the meat. I also load Accubonds in rifles and I was loading them in my 375JDJ when I had it but I never shot anything with it but I read some reviews of the 260gr in the JDJ and it had awesome performance. I'm currently loading 120gr BT's in my 7-30. I'm extremely biased because I dealt with their pro shop for 10 years and friends of mine still work there so I think Nosler is still tops in premium bullets but the cost is also tops unfortunately.

I won't be wronged. I won't be insulted. I won't be laid a-hand on. I don't do these things to other people, and I require the same from them. John Wayne-The Shootist

I use their balistic tips in most of my pistol barrels as they expand at lower velocities than most of the others. I think the partitions need a little more speed than the BT's, but my brother uses nothing else in his long guns.

Rod, too.

Short cuts often lead to long recoveries.

I have used Partitions mainly in 7mm (140 grain) for elk with my old 284 Winchester XP-100. MV was around 2750. Longest connection was one a 540 yard bull (Impact velocity right at 1950 fps). Bullet was found on the other side just under the skin.
More typically used from 200 yards to 350 yards (2450 to 2230 impact velocity) on elk though.
I had great performance with them.
