My 243 Encore sure likes Sierra 85 gr. BTHP's and H4895. Shot this 3 sot group at 100yds. Group measures .329"

I can dance in them baggy shorts! That will work

If it jams force it! If it breaks it needed replacing anyway.

Ive been wanting an Encore but cant decide on caliber. The .243 is at the top of my list. Is MOA accuracy common with this caliber in these guns? Im also looking into the .308.

I've never had a 15" Encore barrel that wouldn't shoot m.o.a.

I have been shooting my Encore 243 w/15" rifle barrel cut down with break for several years. It will shoot under an inch if I do my part. Here is a target I shot this spring with 100grn Sierra Pro Hunters to make it ready for a antelope hunt this fall.
I have taken two coyotes with this load and shot some prairie dogs out to 250 yds with this load during the spring.

I used to shoot Contenders back in the 80's and all of them were tack drivers. I havent got to handle an Encore yet, I just wasnt sure if the .243 would be a good candidate in a short barrel, but from what yall are showing it looks quite impressive. I think that is the caliber Ill go with when I get me one. Ive been using a Ruger .44 with excellent results and know the .243 will do a great job on deer, hogs, and varmits as well.
