I had both knees replaced about three months. Doing great, But I can't get on them to shoot a handgun, So is the tri pod work better standing or sitting in a chair than the bi-pod.I do use a sling for close fast shots. Any suggestion
Depending on the bipod, it may not adjust high enough to shoot sitting in a chair. No experience with tripods. I would suggest you take a look at shooting sticks as I have the Stoney Point version and love them. You adjust the height by where you place the legs which make them extremely versatile.
Hey Gene, Hope every thing works out for you. Shoot sittng and look at some of the summit deer stands for ideas. Loook at how the bars come around the front of for gun rest. Take a some pipe and bend it half round and mount it by the arm rest of the chiar and then as that is in front of you take another pipe and mount it to the middle of pipe in front of you and let it go down and back to the chair by sitting area for suport.Look around one net like buckmasters they have some sites for that I think.Good luck and get well.

Gene, with the tripod I`am able to lock the handgun in for a super steady hold compared to a bipod. This is the same no matter if I`am sitting or standing....
