Welcome edd, it looks like you have a wide enough of a selection of barrels to cover mostly any size game! I have yet to get a single shot shooter. Good luck with your deer hunting!

Welcome aboard. If you reload, the possibilities abound. If you do not reload, Several ammo manufacurers produce fine quality rounds that will effectively handle deer. Check Federal, Cor-Bon, Winchester or Remington. Go to the links section of the board and check each manufacturer. Rick

Mr. Edd, what a nice collection! That 45 LC out of a 15 Contender is going to be awesome! It should be just as potent as any 44 mag! I would use the max load from any loading manual for the 45LC. As for the 375, I have heard that RL 7 does very, very, well. I have one on the way and that is what I plan on using it in.

WELCOME edd!! my favorite is my 218 bee Did someone say 218 BEE, it's my favorit too except it's in an Encore. The 40gr Blitz King over IMR 4227 is a great combo in my barrel and great charlie medicine.

45 colt use the 250 XTP on 20.5 gr of 2400 with a CCI350
In the 30/30 use 36.0 gr H4895 Hornady 130 SSPB
357 max 180gr Nolser Part. 16.5 Gr H4227
Less than 100yds (Tree stand) go with the 45 Colt
Over 100 use the 30/30 the SSPB will do great out to 200 or so
If it jams force it! If it breaks it needed replacing anyway.

For the 45 colt 250 or 300 gr xtp cant be beat. I use hodgons h110, cci 350, with 25gr for 250xtp or 22gr for 300xtp.
