I was wondering if SSK can put a shark gill on a BFR barrel. That would look cool and work. What do you think, can it be done?

I'd probably go with MagnaPort on a revolver.

Yes, J D put on on a 500 S&W BFR for my friend Blackie in Ohio. I have fired it. It makes a lot of difference.
BTW -- he put a little one on Roberta's 6.5 JDJ. It looks cool & removed virtually all the recoil (what little it had).

It's more important where you hit 'em, than what you hit 'em with.

OTT can put a sharkgill break on your revolver. Here is one he did on a 454 SRH.

Thanks guys. Does putting on a brake or cutting a brake into the revolver reduce the velocity much?

Adding a brake to the end does not affect velocity. Cutting a brake (usually called porting) into the existing barrel does reduce velocity.

So how do they put that brake on? Do you see a line between the barrel and the brake where it is installed? Can they match the stainless steel color? Also do you think I would be able to see over theSK shark gill with theBFR front sights?
