I've got them on both a G2 and Encore and really like 'em.
I just use a standard nylon rifle sling. I don't notice any
problems with the sling stud.

I hate it. It's the worst place to have it but you are limited on the T/C's. I prefer a shoulder holster like Quiethide or Pistol Packaging. The only guns I have slings on are XP and Striker pistols and they are single point setups with the stud in the rear behind the bolt.

Rod, too.

Short cuts often lead to long recoveries.

i like the ideal of carrying a revolver by a sling, wouldnt mind getting swivel studs on my hunter....if it ever gets here!years ago i took a regular sbh and trimed wood from the bottom of the grips and put a nylon sling through it,then attatched a barrel band to the tube. it worked great but wasnt all that pretty, sold it to a bear hunter and he still uses this set up!

if it ain't broke....give me a minute!

the sling stud in the grip can affect your bench shooting if you leave them in. i do, but i learned to shoot with them there with little effect.
the sling is the ONLY way for me. it is way too handy for help in shooting support for 14"-17" handguns.

Kentucky….no place like home.

I have 2 studs in all of my SP's that i use for hunting in the forend and pistol grip. That's the only way i carry them. I customize the slings by adding a buckle in the sling just like a backpack waist buckle that allows me to adjust the sling length quickly. The buckle snap allows me get the handgun off my body once it's adjusted tight to my body after a crawl stalk without having to contort to get it off. Just hold the gun securely and squeeze the snap and it comes apart and i can get it into position for a shot without undue movement. Be sure to sew the webbing end up so it doesn't slip out of the buckle though.

May be you can see a "tactical" single point sling with hard rubber,it's normaly for assault rifle, but it will be great on big handgun and you can adjust the lenght to YOUR prone position.I look for it but i need to instal something on my SBH handle.
