I don't know if anyone is looking for 17 Hmr & 22 lr barrel for a Encore, but EABCO has them on sale! Blued at $209 and stainless at $239.
Thought I would pass it along.

These are made with TC's mono block system, so you do not have to modify the Encores frame to shoot rim fire ammo.
I did buy one of these, it is nice not having to change the switch, I know its not hard but I did miss a coyote once because I forgot to change it back.
The barrel looks a little different set up that way.

Do you have to change the firing pin on the Encore ?

No, the barrel is made for the chamber to line up with the firing pin. So no changes are made to the frame, its all done in the barrel.

It's alot easier to run through 50 rounds then it is with the 460.
If you look at Bulberrys' "I think" website, for their rimfires you have to alter the hammer, which they sell the kit. So you might want to watch what you buy, so you can prepare.
I put a Nikon 3x9 rifle scope on mine, excellent fun, the kids love it. They want nothing to due with the 460 though?

I received mine in 4 or 5 days, UPS. I think it says once the overstock is done the price will return to regular.

I forgot to mention these barrels need a special scope base. It is listed at the bottom of that page. The mono block changes how it fits.

I just ordered the 22LR 15 inch stainless Encore barrel with the base from EABCO.com.

Any thoughts on scopes for this ?

A couple of random thoughts;

The efective distance of a 22LR is about 100 yards give or take. So a good variable scope in the 2 to 6,7, or 8 power range would work well.

The 22 is good for cheap practice so maybe the same scope you have on your hunting barrels. Practice with the same platform will make better muscle memory and reduce "scope confusion".

The recoil will be almost nonexsistant so, a rifle scope would work well also. I like rifle scopes on my low recoilers.

After only two nights of practice with this 22 LR barrel, I can tell you that it is capable of MOA.

Anyone who wants to practice with a 22 LR pistol that want to go the cheap route, this is the ticket. After only a week of practicing with the 22 LR, I have a much higher level of confidence in shooting my 460 S & W. The groups with the 460 are getting tighter when shooting with my shooting sticks.
