I've been tinkering again, besides below I've done some work on my two 03-A3's, my 870 Rem tactical project which is about half done, my 1911 carry gun which I'm still aquiring parts for, and a 454 which I'm just starting on. I'm trying to stay sharp for when the ffl thing happens but I've put it on hold again as this last round of outpatient procedures didn't do the trick and they are going to extend both my neck and lower back fusions sometime in the next few weeks but they are checking first because they think I may have done some more damage to my thoracic spine and may have to have that fused too. They aren't sure at this point if the cord injury I have is going to be permanent or not but for the moment I use a walker or cane which really sucks at 41 but at this point they aren't sure I won't be in a chair before long but I'm just taking it a day at a time for now. Back to the pic, from top to bottom (these are all re vamped earlier projects) 9.5" 500 Linebaugh with Leupold FXII 2X-gun was originally a 44 and then the 4" 500, I replaced the cylinder and added a new oversize cylinder latch and block and as with all the guns it's been line bored. Next is the Vaquero, originally a 45 colt, then 454 with factory barrel and then a shilen barrel and now a 4.25" 500 Linebaugh (ultimate in backup). Last is the 44 spcl built on a old 3 screw 357. This is my wifes and the first build included a 6.5" barrel and rounded butt corners but this time I removed the max amount of material from the aluminum grip frame to fit her hand better and lighten up the gun and then I cut the barrel back to 3.5". They all have 11 degree cones and crowns the blackhawks carry weigand combat front sight assemblies.

Damn, Rod, at least you have something you can do in your condition. And, you do it well. I hope they get you right soon. Nice pieces!

Nice Rod. If my SRH doesn't turn out I will be looking for a long 454 or 475L.

Take Care.

Thanks guys and I'm trying to get straightened out and I'm sure your getting tired of hearing it but I'm really am trying to get things together so I can do this thing. I'm drawing SSDI and it sucks, especially since I only worked until I was 39 and out of the last 5 years I probably only worked two years so it really sucks and I need to get something else going. I'll post a pic of the 454 and 1911 when they are done but it will be a little bit on those two, especially the 1911. Thanks again for the compliments.

I just got out and shot it but it was raining so I just ran one cylinder through it but it is a beast but also a blast to shoot and definitely controllable enough to use as a back up weapon on stuff that bites, claws or stomps.
