My little 45colt got on the board today with this bear.I was impressed to see how the 255gr cast bullet performed. The first shot and it was over but I gave it a quick 2nd one for good measure, with the way my luck has been this year, and I didn't fancy the idea of following a wounded bear through the underbrush.Sorry the pic isn't better.

Congrats & nice bear!!! I want to hear a bit more of the story. As a matter of fact, the bears won't be out here for another 5 months so I am in the mode for the long version!!!

Great Job
That will make a nice looking Rug!
If it jams force it! If it breaks it needed replacing anyway.

Congrats! That's cool. I'm like Vance, we need to hear some more details.

It's not the gun, but the man behind it.

Thanks guys,Vance and KRal I promise more details to come but I have 5 days of deer season left and I am on a mission.I'll leave you with a little teaser though, she scared the you know what out of me.In that area as you can tell fom behind me it's close quarters sometimes, closer than alot of folks want. The shot was approximately 15-20yards,with the follow up 2-3".Maybe that will give you something to think about.

Cotton,
Nice work sir! That's the way to break in the new gun!
Best of luck with Bambi this week...I'm gonna try to get out some to get "the new" off a couple of mine if possible!
