Anyone familar with http://www.bellmtcs.com and their products such as oversized hingpins and headspace shims to tighten up T/C action?

A lot of folks refer to his hinge pis as "snake oil" and others swear by them. He has been controversial at times but does good work and is always tinkering. If your gun has obvious problems there, it may be worth a try. I have thought of having him mill a brake internally on a barrel, but haven't got around to it.
Rod, too.

There is a lot of shake in the barrel with it open. I figured for $7.00 it would not be a great loss if it did not work. Just checking to see if anyone had had any dealings with him before I made a purchase. I had read about some controversy regarding the reaming of the hinge pin hole, but I do not intend to do any reaming if that is needed I will send it back to foxridge.

What it does when open doesn't bother me. If it moves when locked up, I'd worry. You wouldn't think it would hurt to tighten things up, other than opening perhaps. Have you see accuracy degrade?

I can feel a little shake locked up. I have had a problem a couple times where it did not lock up and the hammer would not lock when pulled back. Also seems harder to open after firing the gun. The groups are all over the place. Four or five inch groups at 15 or 20 yards.

That sounds like there are several issues...

rolly I've known Mike for many years and have had no problems what so ever with his work or advice and have also got 2 OS pins in my contenders and 1 in my encore. Give him a call he will be more than happy to help figure out whether you need one or not. Definitly not snake oil.
