My so was strapped for space and he gave me two Dillon presses; a 550b and a Square Deal. He bought them used and never put them in operation. I'll be sorting them out this week and to determine if any parts are missing (it looks like two shell holders and at least the plastic powder container on the 550 is broken). I know that Dillon has a No BS warranty so I may be putting that to the test.

The Square Deal came with 45acp and 9mm dies. The 550 has 38 Super dies in it...of course as luck would have it I don't own any guns in those calibers and will have to sell or trade them for calibers I need.

I have always used a single stage press and have never owned or used a progressive unit...now I have two!. I do a lot of IHMSA and other shooting that requires an accurate reload. Are any of you using these machine to produce ammo that gives the same accuracy as a single stage press?

I use a 650 for most standard handgun loads and it saves a lot of time better spent shooting. Some p-dog shooters load mass qtys. of 223's on a Dillon, but for absolute best accuracy you will need to stick with your single-stage press.

I don't know since I don't have a dillon but I sure like the pictures on the front of the quarterly mailers I get from them.

I just put the Square Deal Press in the "For Sale" Misc Section.

Anyone interested.
