Well, once again the deer population of Florida have survived another of my forays into the woods in pursuit of them. I had a buck and 3 does come up downwind of me and got a snoot full of my smelly old hide and I imagine they are still running! Oh well, maybe I'll be able to try again in Feb at Eglin Air Force base.

Gman,
Sorry to hear about the less than stellar luck. Look at in this light. You were out enjoying the great outdoors, which means you have healed very nicely from that little round of surgery.
I guess Pensacola and surrounding areas are still cleaning up and repairing after Ivan. I went home, north of Pensacola, late October and could not believe the damage.
Good luck at Eglin.
Rick

Hey Gman.
I'd just echo what Rick said. Glad you're healed enough to be out & about.
Maybe next time.

Hey Gman, are you in the Air Force and stationed at Eglin Air Force base? My son-inlaw is stationed there. Is the hunting any good on base?

Gman, my season has been the same as your, all hunting and no killing. I have a week and a couple days left, hope to connect soon. I'm back to work and that burns up most of the available daylight.

Good luck with the Eglin AFB hunt!!
