Well, I pumped out 20 rounds of .308 Win. today. My first reloads!! 150 grain Herter's bullet on top of 44 grains of H4895, Remington brass, and RWS 210 primers. I just used what I had laying around, that a friend gave me. Practice ya know, so I could find my "Reloading legs"! Now to get dies for the .44 mag. and .357!

Gren,
You've now embarked on a real adventure. If you like to tinker and experiment, there is no limit! Also, there comes a satisfaction by taking game with ammo of you're own making.

use carbide dies on your .44 and .357 and you won't have to lube for those calibers.

Welcome to the addiction of handloading,it's very rewarding, I had a smile ear to ear when I killed my first deer using my own ammo.

Ya, I bought a box of reloading stuff from a friend a few years back. Herter's press, herter's dies(30-06,300 sav.,38spc,and .243)hert's bullets, nosler partitions, Lee pro 1000 press, balance scale, and a whole lot more really. $60.00. I think it worked out for me.

I still have a herters press set up on a bench that I use on occassion, herters dies and all. Still have two or three boxes of 50 grn. 22 cal bullets red paper boxes metal corners. Have the Tru Line Jr. my brother used in the sixties, loaded my first round on it .303 British ,brother paid $12.00 for the rifle.Packed that thing a lot of miles shooting groundhogs.LONG time ago and very pleasant memories.
