I have a TC Encore Hunter with rubber grips. This is a bummer.I have to grip at an odd angle and this puts my hand in line with the back of the trigger guard. OUCH when your knuckles hit. Mine is in 270 and has a 2.5-7 scope I have been told it is very accurate. Please help me fix this problem. Thank You.

Ok, I might be able to help quite a bit on this one. I had a 270 Win without a break and found it brutal if I griped it poorly. “I” have to put my first and second fingers of my week hand around the outside of the trigger guard to make sure my fingers don’t get bit. I have recently bought a 270 that had a factory break on it an it shoots like a mild 243. It is great! If you continue to have a problem with it consider the break. Grips can help a LOT with smaller hands! Give one of the gents below a holler and see what they can do for you. They can custom make a set to your hands. Custom Enocre Grip Discussion

if the rubber ones on it are factory try the Pachmayr's . they are great. they are both smaller than the factory grips and absorb the recoil much better. thats what I had to do with mine. anything bigger than a 1911 does not fit my hand at all. it kinda sucks but there again I can shoot my encores and 1911 very confidently. good luck

The Pachmayr Magnum Encore set of grips may be the answer for you. I have short fingers and that Pachmayr grip is a big improvement for me.

The Packy grip is much better for reaching the trigger without putting your hand in an awkward location. But....I find that the factory "rubber" grips on the stainless guns to me absorb more recoil than the packy version. But, with your hand in the right location, I bet it will feel better regardless

As soon as time allows I plan to get some shooting in and see how well I do. I am new to handgun hunting and have very little experience but welcome the challenge of doing so. My only problem is finding the time and ammo supply too do what I want. I bought the gun used and was told it shot well with 130 Federal powershocks. I found if I did my part it did well as I also have an Endeaver with a 270 barrel I am playing around with Win 130 bonded and some others. Only time and shooting will tell. Again thank you for the help hope I can give a review soon.

try Tonys forends and grips. he makes them custom to fit your hand, and they are incredible, and a very good price.

Well an update is in order. while I did not get a deer this year. The Encore shot well with the new grips. At 100 yards with more practice I will be able to get very good groups. I really enjoy the Encore.

I appreciate this thread because my hands are small too. I have been wondering what to do.
