Took my TC Contender to the range today for the very first time.
First few rounds 1/2" low, brought them up 3/8", and finally dead on..... when I could not open the breach. Took it to the dealer where I bought it... and within a few minutes they had it open. There was a spent round jamming the ejector and preventing it from opening. Dealer thought because it was the steel casing that caused the round to expand too much causing the jam.
My question is.... ammo or weapon?

It might be worth call about.

Two thoughts. First, when a case has problems extracting it is usually to hot. Second, you might be right on about TC’s not being designed for steel hulls.

My first thought is Ammo. Is that tula ammo the stuff wally world sells? And if so, is it coated in laquer like many of their different loadings. I know they load 223 without the laquer as well. Also, just a thought. There is enough of a difference between, 5.56x45 and 223 loaded specs and brass that the chamber of a gun might not handle the 5.56 cases very well. The pressures are different and expansion in the chamber may be enough to cause the sticking.
