Hey,
Does anyone know why Magnum Research quit offering the Lone Eagle pistol ? I had one in 358 Winchester and it was one of the most accurate single shots I have ever owned !

Tony,

I had a lone eagle in .300 Win. Mag. which I regret trading in as it was more accurate out of the box than any of my factory TCs. I heard awhile back that they quit making them due to lack of demand although there are still quite a few good ones available on the used market, at least here in Minnesota. Their 45/70 BFR is the most accurate out of the box factory revolver I've owned so hopefully they'll keep making that for a few years as I'd like a .475 Linebaugh short cylinder model too!

Hey,
Magnum Research offers the BFR in a 30/30 Winchester 5 shot. I wonder what the loss of velocity would be with the 7.5 length barrel. You could put some hellatious handloads thru it!!!!!
My only complaint with the sixguns of caliber over 41 cal. , shooting them over 100 yds is like throwing rocks.
