I loaded these when Barbara was less than two years old!

OK, back to the QUESTION: Remington brass and primer; 40 grains of IMR 4350 powder, and a 100 grain Nosler Partition bullet.

Old school load; up to the minute killing power.

The shot was almost perfectly broadside at less than 50 yards. The entrance hole was just behind the left shouder (about a dime sized hole) and the exit hole was straight across in the same area (the bullet only hit a rib in and out) and about a half dollar sized hole. The buck ran about 43 yards and we found him dead.
