There are a lot of bigger choices, but at the end of the day, the .44 Mag., will do the job, if you do your part and not tear up your "new shoulder".

I am right handed but left eye dominant so I always shot a rifle lefty using my left shoulder which is the one that has been recently replaced. I shoot handguns with the right. So I,m thinking I'll be okay with caution and care. Not sure if I'll ever saddle up the 1895 GG in 45/70 again against the new shoulder.
