WOW! I've NEVER shot a revolover this well without a scope! I took the Colt Anaconda out today since the local sporting good shop finally got some 45colt ammo in today. It was the American Eagle jacketed soft point stuff.

Took my rangefinder, set up the target, and ranged it to be 47 yards. First 6 shots out of the cylinder ended up in a group of 2.5 inches excluding two flyers that I knew I yanked! I thought, "Okay, this has to be a fluke."

Loaded up another cylinder full, took aim, fired, walked to the target and found a 3.5 inch group and no flyers!!! I was the only one around, but I still said outloud, "You gotta be kidding me!"

Walked back to the firing line, loaded another 6 shots, sent the little happy lead bullets on their way, then found another group of just slightly under 4 inches excluding 1 known flyer that I knew I yanked.

Guys, this stuff doesn't happen to me. I don't shoot that well without a scope. Its gotta be some Colt magic dust or something. I am going to keep practicing with this, and not use a scope. My intended range is out to 100 yards with this anyway. Even if I included the flyers, the groups would have had only another 3 inches added or so, which is STILL a kill shot at 50 yards, I don't care who ya are!!!

I'm thinkin I might have found me a new favorite! Wonder if I can hunt bunnies with this thing...

Oh yeah. And grouse, but the head is a bit smaller. Good shootin'

Its pretty awesome when ya getthat gun that just fits ya. Youll always shoot it better than anything else and im stoked ya found the one. Sounds like an awesome gun. Ive always had a thing for those anacondas since seeing the ads way back when they first came out. Theyre def on my list of too buy guns. Ive just never found one that was reasonable but i keep my eyes open. Im glad ya found the gun....go get some blood on it!

rap, I experienced the same thing with my S&W 41 at 49yds. With my eyes and hand shakes I was shocked to find the small size of the group I shot with iron sights....

Didn't get to go this morning as planned. One of the guys had some issues on the oil pad, so I had to go fix that at 5:00 this morning. I'm hopeing to go this evening, or tomorrow morning. Gonna take the Colt and the MKIII.
