I went to the shooting range with my wife and one of my oil field workers that likes to do a lot of shooting, but uses rifles. He's pretty darn good with them too. We started shooting the 45 Colt, the XD, Glocks, my wife's 270wsm, then I grabbed the 500JRH. I was loading the rounds in the cylinder while the two of them were finishing up the last few shots in their magazines. I stepped up to the firing line when they were done, and I turned to my buddy and said, "You're my witness!!" then raised the 500JRH, took aim, and fired it... ONE HANDED!!!!

Yeah, that's right. I fired a full house load, a 440gr WFNGC pushed by 29.5gr H110, with one hand. I got the imprint of the back of the hammer right on the back of my hand between the thumb and forefinger. It looks pretty funny. Its likes someone used a red pen and outlined the hammer on the back of my hand. I took a picture, but it doesn't show up very well.

Oh, and no, aint doin that again!!
